New Student Orientation 2025

New Student Orientation takes place on campus. If you are a first-time freshman or transfer student, attending orientation is the first step in making the transition to life as a Sunbird. Orientation will launch your ÐãÐãÖ±²¥ journey on the right foot with messages from the university president, faculty and students as well as special sessions for residents, commuters and families. The day will conclude with a delicious dinner on The Green.
All freshmen students will continue their orientation on August 15-17, Friday through Sunday with a Freshmen Retreat at Hume Lake. The retreat is packed full of team building activities and discussions led by student leaders and faculty. Freshmen will make new friends, become invested in their Freshmen Seminar and have memories for a lifetime.
All students are required to attend New Student Orientation.
